But there is better news for Georginio Wijnaldum and Andrew Robertson who also missed the win at Turf Moor.

‘Sadio is now out and tries to run first time, so it doesn’t sound like he will be ready for tomorrow,’ Klopp said.

‘Hopefully he can finish the programme, which we did for him today.

Liverpool will want to keep the pressure on league leaders Manchester City, who play Chelsea in the late kick-off on Saturday.

The Reds can go top for a few a hours if they beat Bournemouth and will be hoping Chelsea do them a favour and take points off the defending champions.

Bournemouth are enjoying a fantastic season so far under Eddie Howe, with the Cherries sitting seventh, but the recent win against Huddersfield ended a run of four defeats.
