Mohamed Salah equals Premier League record with latest strike for Liverpool

Mohamed Salah celebrates scoring Liverpool’s second goal (AFP)Mohamed Salah was on the scoresheet yet again in Liverpool’s match with Southampton, ensuring his incredible debut season continues.

The Egyptian took his Premier League tally for the term to 22 goals when he scored just before half-time. He combined brilliantly with Roberto Firmino before calmly slotting the ball past Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

Earlier in the match he picked up an assist by teeing up Firmino to open the scoring at St Mary’s.

He’s now scored 19 goals with his left foot – the joint most in a Premier League season with Robbie Fowler who notched that number during the 1994/95 season.
