Gomez has played an important part this season for Liverpool (Picture: Getty)Joe Gomez has vowed to comeback even stronger after suffering a leg fracture in Liverpool’s recent 3-1 win over Burnley.
Gomez was stretchered off the pitch following a collision with Ben Mee and he now looks set to miss six weeks with the injury.
The England international took to social media on Friday to provide the fans with an update, and he looked in positive spirits doing so.
‘Hi everyone, it’s Joe. I just wanted to say thank you to you all for your kind messages and well wishes,’ said Gomez.
‘Obviously I’m gutted to have picked up the injury, but thankfully it’s not too serious and one that I can definitely be back strong from soon.
‘I will do my best to come back as quickly as possible and hopefully I will be back with you guys soon, so thank you.’

The 21-year-old is set to miss the entire festive period, which is traditionally the busiest time of the club football calendar in England.
This period for the Reds includes vital matches against Napoli on December 11, Manchester United on December 12 and Arsenal on December 29.
A reasonable return date for Gomez would be Liverpool’s clash against Crystal Palace on January 19.
